The highlight of the –

Chepang Hill (1945 meters) is an unexplored beautiful hillside of Chitwan located on the Mahabharata range north of Chitwan National Park. It is home to one of the indigenous communities of Nepal.

From the hilltop and Gadi historical site, you can enjoy the mountain sunrise and sunset views, including the 8000-meter Himalayas: Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Manaslu, and Ganesh Himal. The Chepang people have their own customs, beliefs, and language. They live their lives by hunting, fishing, and gathering jungle products.

They live in the jungle, hunting and cultivating for food. During the trek, besides Chepang ethnicity, you can also see ethnicities like Magar, Gurung, Danuwar, Tamang, Kumal, Tharu, and many others. Bird watching and its cultural uniqueness, along with other natural attractions, add excitement to the Chepang Hill Trek.

Thus, from this trek, you can analyze and observe the living ways of isolated jungle people. As the region and people are behind the development process, Chepang Hill Trekking is designed with the aspect of improving the lifestyle of Chepang people through exploring their unique culture.
