Dhampus village trek is one of the easiest and short treks to the small village inhabited mostly by the Gurung community, 23 km north-west of Pokhara at an altitude of 16550 meter/5413 ft. Dhampus Day Hiking offers the fascinating views of mountains like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Macchapuchrey and sunrise and sunset from the Himalayas. From this trek, we can explore the daily living styles of countryside people including their culture and religious beliefs.
Dhampus hiking is the short yet thriving hike for a few days. This hike offers a stunning view of the north side of Mt. Annapurna and Fishtail Ranges. This hike can be lot enjoyed because of the friendly & diverse villagers whom we can meet on the way, during the hike. Sunrise and Sunset is another attraction for this trek, making it pretty rewarding for short hike. We can get to know the day to day life of the villagers and watch them milking buffalos.
Around 4-5 hours of drive to Pokhara enjoying the scenery on the way. We reach the paradise city Pokhara. This city is enchanting with the altitude of 827m in the base of Mt. Fishtail. From caves, lakes and gorges to viewpoints, Pokhara city is the main hub for adventure.
After 30 minute of drive to Pokhara Phedi from Pokhara we are ready to start our hiking. Following the beautiful farmland as we ascend to Dhampus village, there we get to see stunning views of Mount Machhapuchre. Overnight stay is at Dhampus
To halt the Hiking, we descend to Pokhara and either by bus or by flight we head toward Kathmandu, again getting second opportunity to enjoy the lusty sceneries.
