We start our trip by taking flight to Kathmandu and then again taking another flight to Juphal. From Juphal, we start our first trek. We feel cold crispy air once we are in high altitude and start to trek to Dunai and then to Chepka. Along the trek, we pass Shey Phoksundo National Park and check our registration and then walk across rivers. We reach Sunduwa and passing through green pasture overlooking high peaks, we take another trek to Ringmo. The trail is rocky and gets to see the first glimpse of Shey Phoksundo Lake once we are in Ringmo. Ringmo lies on the bank of Shey Phoksundo Lake and houses around 20 Tibetan style looking houses which are surrounded by scattered cairns and chortens.
Settlers of Ringmo village are strict followers of nonviolence and truly refrain from any kind of animal sacrifices. They are also very traditional and simple without any modernization. Next day, we either hike to Lake Viewpoint or take hike to the waterfall. Both the destination is stunning and you feel like you are in heaven or at least the environment and the feeling is certainly different. After visiting the main destination, we trek back to the civilization of Kathmandu and once we reach Kathmandu, you can join small cultural dinner show.
