Locate at the northeastern part of Nepal Everest Region is about 90 km away from Kathmandu Valley. Everest Region is very famous for trekking and thousands of trekkers visit in this region every year. Everest region is also known as Khumbu Region and one of the most visited regions for trekking in Nepal. The region is mostly surrounded by Sherpa settlement and has amazing mountainous landscape. 1. Lukla Village:-
Lukla Village of Khumbu region is a starting point towards Mount Everest. Lukla serves as the main entrance for trekkers and mountaineers who steps to the world popular Everest Region.
The village is mostly inhabited by Sherpa community and it is located at the altitude of 2860m. The area is well equipped and includes modern hotels and lodges along with small shops and departmental stores. There is also the provision of hart bazaar weekly.
The town contains a small airport, Tenzing Hillary Airport. It is the most extreme and most adventurous airport in the world. Here plane flies around tall forested mountains and high hills. The landing spot is the most exciting. The airport is only the possible way of reaching the Everest Region from Kathmandu. The airport contains helipad or chopper for transport and rescue operation.

2. Namche Bazaar:-
Namche Bazaar is a beautiful town of Khumbu District. It is located at the height of 3440 m and at the elevation of 11286 ft. Namche Bazaar is the most popular tourist hub and resting stop of the region. It is a main gateway to the high Himalayas also offers amazing views of the snow-capped peaks. This region is considered as the wealthiest district of the country. The town is the function of trekking trails where Everest trek routes can be identified.
Being the historically capital Namche Bazaar is the administrative center of the Khumbu region. The town contains lots of Nepalese officials, a police check post and a bank beside the Sagarmatha National Park and army barracks. The region is the center of Sherpa culture. 3. Tengboche Monastery:-
Tengboche is a beautiful village rural municipality in the Khumbu Region. The village is very popular because of the really old gompas. The village contains Buddhist monastery a Tengboche monastery is the biggest monastery in Nepal. The monastery sits at the top of the hill so the visitors can get the clear breathtaking view of Mount Everest. This gompa is the most religious centers for Sherpa culture. Thousands of visitors explore this monastery every year.
Tengboche is the last stop for visitors. This spot has been badly destroyed by an earthquake in 1993 but was rebuilt and again it was ravaged by fire. Many of the old sculptures of the monastery were totally damaged but patience and mindfulness Buddhist rebuilt it. 4. Dingboche -

5. Pangboche Village:-
Pangboche is a beautiful village in Khumjung VDC of Khumbu district of Nepal. It is located at an altitude of 3985 m and 13074 ft. The Pangboche village is such beauty that it is like heaven on the earth. The village has 600 years old monastery which is very important for Buddhist Sherpa. Men of Pangboche Village take blessings from the big Lamas of the monastery, to start risky climbing.
Tengboche Village is a crucial place of trekking routes and provides scenic beauty. You can see Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Amadablam like amazing views from Pangboche Village. 6. Gorakchep:-
Gorakshep is a lakebed that is frozen and covered with sand. This is a small village located at Deep inside Sagarmatha National Park. This area has a small settlement which sits at the altitude of about 5200 m and 16962 ft very near to the Mount Everest. Gorakshep is not inhabited but trekking lodges are basic there and modern amenities like satellite high-speed internet access are available. This area is the last sleeping stop of the trekkers or climbers of Everest region. While trekking to Everest Camp most of the trip starts from Lukla to Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Pangboche, Dingboche, and Lobuche and at final step Gorakshep.
7. Kalapathar:-
Kalapathar is a famous landmark located at a south ridge above Gorakshep. The meaning of Kalapathar black rock in Nepali and Hindi. All the area is dark in color and full of rock. Kalapathar is one of the worthy adventure and destinations as the routes to Kalapathar is considered very remarkable. Kalapathar is located at the base of the Mount Everest and at the height of 5550 m and 18519 ft.
