Overview

Nepal, as a tourist destination, is good for all seasons; however, the best seasons for the Everest panorama/mountain view trek are Spring (March–May) and autumn (mid-Sept.–mid-Dec.). Trekking in the autumn season is noted for clear weather and excellent views of silvery mountains against a blue sky. It gets colder towards the end of December. This trek can be done in any month except bad weather time.

Everest Base Camp Trekking / EBC trek

The Everest base camp trek is one of the most popular treks in Nepal. It is the journey that Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa did in 1953. Everest is the tallest mountain peak on the planet and has traditionally been the utmost goal for mountaineers. The Everest Base Camp trail is the most famous trekking experience in the country. Today entrenched trekkers seek the challenge of reaching Everest mountaineers' base camp. Thus, the EBC trek is also famous among Nepal Himalayas treks.

Similarly, trek to EBC is not as easy as the Annapurna trek, so the Everest base camp trek is a difficult one. Escalate so high that it reaches its Everest base camp height of 5364 m (17,598 feet) and the next highest spot in the EBC trek, Kalapathar, at an elevation of 5555 m. The Nepal Everest base camp trek normally takes 12 to 14 days. Trek to EBC in 2026 or 2027 is the best option for a close, epic view of the massif, Mt. Everest.
Likewise, the Everest trek includes gruesome, tiring walking within the world’s most spectacular mountain scenery. There are many opportunities to see wildlife during a backpacking trip to the EBC trek in UNESCO-listed Sagarmatha National Park. You can enjoy with amazing Everest sunrise trek in the Everest region.

Similarly, the journey to Everest Base Camp hiking begins from Lukla if you are taking a direct flight from Kathmandu. However, for die-hard lovers of trekking, there is another switchback starting from Jiri. The EBC short trail passes through the mid-hills of Solu, which are tribally diverse and flora rich. Everest Base Camp Trek: Trigger the exciting flight to Lukla, amazing mountains and Sherpa cultures, and hidden wilderness. Sagarmatha National Park Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa culture, the Tengboche Monastery, the Everest Base Camp, Khumbu glaciers, the panoramic vistas of Everest, and so on.

Are you thrilled to do the Everest Base Camp Trek?

The Everest base camp trek starts from Kathmandu's Tribhuvan domestic airport to Lukla. Lukla is located in the Khumbu area of the Solukhumbu District in the Sagarmatha Zone of northeast Nepal. It is also known as the Sherpa village, and its lifestyle is typically different from other parts of Nepal. However, the EBC sunrise view trek is a prominent trek in the Everest region.  After reaching Lukla, the trek gently moves towards eastern Nepal’s highest river, Dudh Khoshi (milk river).

Phakdang morning begins with a pleasing mooch through beautiful pine forests and Sherpa villages. Crossing several doldrums bridges before reaching Jorsale. Later you officially enter Sagarmatha National Park. Admire the mighty peak of Thamserku towering above the village before continuing to the powerful confluence of the Bhote and Dudh Kosi Rivers. Ascending to the spectacular Tenzing-Hillary suspension bridge. Enjoy incredible views of Mount Everest rising behind the Nuptse Lhotse Ridge. The trail now steepens for the final climb up to Namche Bazaar.

However, after exploring Namche, climb toward Sansa where the trail forks to the village of Gokyo. You can look out for local Himalaya wildlife, including Nepal’s national bird, the Danphe pheasant, and Himalayan tahr. Reaching near Phunki Thenga, you pass through Tibetan Buddhist water-driven prayer wheels.

However, spend the afternoon visiting Tengboche Gompa, a Tibetan Buddhist monastery established in the early 20th century by Lama Guru, and many more places. Enjoy an amazing view of Mount Ama Dablam 6812 (22349 ft). Your trek toward Dingboche begins traversing the Imja Khola River and Pangboche and on to Shore. Walking at a high altitude you reach the moraines of Changri Nup Glacier. Then you will make series of small ascents and descent over a rocky trail lined with a cairn to reach Gorak shep-the last stop before Everest Base Camp. One of the most treacherous sections of an Everest ascent is marveling at the sublime view of the notorious Khumbu (Everest).  After following a rolling waving trail along the icy moraine of the Khumbu Glacier, the slow, steady rhythm. Ice Fall flows from the Western Cwm and you can graze west to east to take in the peaks of Mount Pumori, Lingtern, Khumbuste, and Nuptse.

Walking from Gorak Shep uphill to Everest Kala Pattar trek, it is located right at the foot of Pumori and above Gorak Shep where you can witness some of the Himalayas. Thus, the most recognizable sight and the best views of Everest and about three kilometers away and some 200 meters below, the area of Everest Base Camp.

Crossing the Khumbu Khola and head down the valley below Cholatse to Pheriche and Shomare before passing through Lower Pangboche. You’ll reach the suspension bridge over the Imja Khola River, then ascend back to Tengboche to visit the monastery. And then descend steeply through the beautiful forest of juniper, rhododendron, and fir. Crossing the Dudh Kosi River and ascending to Trashing, Shanasa, and on to Namche Bazaar. Finally, trek from Lukla to Namche and fly back to Kathmandu.
